Sometimes I wish my life was scripted, and the recurring characters of my show were laid out before me in Courier New font. I could read what motivated each of them, be prepared for guest stars and the evil backstabbers, and then act accordingly. As it is now, I’m left to wonder why some people do the things they do, without any seeming regard for anyone else. These people seem to be unhinged, gone very rogue. I’m just staring and waiting for some sort of cue from backstage, and yet nothing. Maybe that’s why I’m so passionate about my TV characters – their drama is entangling and often raw, but I can see it from afar and get insight. You’ll have to pardon the teen angst that’s holding this post together like iglue – it’s been one of those weeks. I wish I could go into more detail, but the gist is the same.
